Jason Kemp
Director / Project Manager
Jasons career in this industry began as an apprentice Lineworker at the SECV in North Geelong in 1989
Since completing that apprenticeship and working as a Lineworker for a number of years, Jason has then gone on to gain experience in many different facets of the electrical industry some of this experience includes :
teaching new lineworkers at the SECV
Construction Project leader for powercor Werribee
Works - co-ordinator for citipower
Field leader for underground faults Geelong
Field leader Powercor colac
Contracts manager at ESG
and an accumlated 12 years Project Managing civil and cable works from simple Public Lighting to 66KV feeder works and multi million dollar projects throughout Adelaide and victoria.
The path that has lead Jason to this point has not only given him a unique understanding of projects from both sides of the fence, it has also established a long standing and deeply respected relationship with powercor that allows seamless communication and execution of our clients Requirements.
Jasons depth of knowledge and passion for the industry has lead him to the desire start Otway Cable. This company Gives jason the ability to bring Together some of the best and most talented people around the industry and deliver a quality of work and service that exceeds what is currently Available.
Brock Weber
Crew Lead
Brock spent the first 7 years of his woking career in the carpentry and joiner trade before transitioning in 2011 to civil construction via getting involved in Rail works and so began his journey...
Since then brock has expanded his knowledge of the industry, developing skills on the excavator and his Ability to run a team by undertaking a number of concrete And civil Construction projects while running his own business as well as working as a leading hand and crew lead in major projects for other companies where he managed a range of infrastructure works that included
- option 2 power works
-rail signaling trenching
-drainage & sewer installation
-and of course Option 1 powercor works
Brock is the sort of person that thrives on the Excitement of a new challenge and then consequently conquering that challenge .
so While brock is exceptional on a machine , his past experience in the civil industry has Also resulted in him becoming an incredible Leader and his level of experience managing a crew and ensuring a project is completed seamlessly from start to finish makes him a hug asset to our team.

Matt Jones
Operator
Matts working career on the excavator started out in the building/carpentry & concreting industries over 23 years ago before he went looking for a new Challenge and jumped into operating for the electrical and civil industry.
Once in this industry matt absorbed everything it had to offer, quickly Becoming a team 'go to' for not only his excavation skills but also operating the drill and Managing the winch in major hauls ! Matt has also thrived in team leadership positions such as crew lead and HSR..
Matts exceptional attention to detail , the pride he takes in his work and ability to Inspire his team to always deliver 110% on any job , no matter how big or small, quickly attracted jasons attention.

Ben Howes
Operator
Ben Offers a different perspective And background of knowledge to the team, as he started his civil career doing 5 years in the traffic Control sector.
Ben then transitioned over to Civil and Cable by starting as a drilling assistant in 2018 and transitioning from there To becoming particularly gifted on an excavator. .
Ben has really found his passion on the machine now and When asking what his favourite part of the job these days is this is what he had to say
" ....seeing projects from start to finish and when its all done and everything is cleaned up and looking pretty , being able to say we did that!"

Amy Kemp
Admin/Accounts
Amy has come from a lifetime of working in the Equestrian industry as a professional showjumping rider and coach both here and across Europe.
Now Introduced to the Civil and cable industry by Jason and his team here is what Amy has to say.
"I feel Genuinely Privileged to be learning about the industry from the very best within it. as someone who has always been passionate about the sport that i am in i really apprecaite and am attracted to genuine people who have true passion for what they do.
I am driven to do the best i can for this team to ensure they can be out on site delivering work to the best of their ability for our clients. "
Amy is in the process of completing her "cert IV in accounting and bookkeeping" at Swinburne and is fully Committed to delivering a seamless and professional process of communication for our clients.
